For our last day in Dublin, Naomi and I took a trip to the harbor town of Dun Laoghaire (pronounced Dun Leary… we know that thanks to the nice French woman we met on the bus).

We were too weary to walk all the way out to the end of the pier |
The goal was to get silk from RoisinCross Silk Company. After a fabulous lunch at The Hen House, we
did just that. The owner of Roisin’s was super friendly and we chatted for a
long time while she cut my silk. She loved the idea that I was going to use
Ballyvaughan as inspiration and she cut me a whole bunch of samples (for more
inspiration) for free!

Then after Roisin’s we did some thrift store shopping, some
food shopping, and then stopped for a coffee and did some postcard writing.
Lastly we were going to walk out along the pier, but it was
pretty windy and threatening rain (and our dogs were barkin’) so we just walked
to the edge of the harbor to take pictures and found this sweet sidewalk art!
Aww, that's awesome of the silk store owner to give you samples! Any idea what you want to work on while you're there?
