Made it to Dublin!

So after about 10 hours of travel time, I've made it to Dublin. I'm checked into my hotel, enjoying the free wifi, and updating my first geocache find... I wasted no time on that front! I'm staying at Dublin City University with Naomi and Jeanine (it's a college that just rents out its dorm rooms as hotel rooms in the summer... clever girls!) It's not really in the center of Dublin, so once we get bus passes we'll explore Dublin proper.

Highlights from today:

  • You don't rent things in Ireland, you hire them. (Our cab driver suggested that we hire a car while we here so we can have fun driving on the other side of the road)
  • It's "tree" not "three." One shop keeper said, "I have a one day bus pass and a five day bus pass, but I'm all out of tree day bus passes. The shop next door has tree day passes."
  • We have been directed to the "shop next door" to get bus passes more than 10 times... we're not sure if these tree day bus passes really exist.
